Today, the FLBH committee met with two engineers from the City of Tallahassee, Mark Heidecker and Ken Espy. While Lake Blue Heron is not within the City boundaries, we had reached out to them for help in uncovering possible treatment options for our lake. During the phone conversation, they expressed interest in visiting the lake to see how it relates to projects they have done in the past. That meeting was today.
During our discussions today, we learned that our initiative to maintain a chemical treatment will be our best short term initiative. They also helped to identify other project possibilities, giving us important information as to which techniques might help and which ones are likely to be less helpful.
We appreciate the effort of these two folks in meeting with us to share their expertise.
